
Born in Colindres (Cantabria), Laura Colina Donosti began her musical journey at the age of five, playing the piano and singing in various choirs.
In 1999, she commenced her vocal studies at the Jesús de Monasterio Conservatory in Santander, under the tutelage of singers María Bravo and Mª del Mar Fdez. Doval.
In 2010, she earned her Bachelor's degree in vocal performance with the highest honors, studying under the guidance of the distinguished mezzo-soprano Maite Arruabarrena, a professor at Musikene (Higher School of Music of the Basque Country).
She has participated in masterclasses with Raquel Andueza, Carlos Chausson, and Raina Kabaivanska, as well as with pianists Enrique Ricci and Maciej Pikulski, who are regular accompanists for renowned figures such as Renée Fleming, María Bayo, and José Carreras, among others. Currently, she continues her studies with soprano Olatz Saitua.
Laura has performed at numerous festivals including the Evolución Festival in Burgos, the XVI edition of the Primaveras Musicales Pejinas in Laredo (Cantabria), alongside Lebanese pianist Marie-Vida Obeid, and at the Sacred Music Festival in Bilbao with the French orchestra Lachrimae Consort, participating in the production and recording of La Misa de Aránzazu and La Stella by Domenico Scarlatti.
She has appeared in prestigious theaters such as the Capitolio in Toulouse, the Palacio de Festivales in Santander, the Kursaal and Victoria Eugenia in San Sebastián, the Euskalduna and Arriaga in Bilbao, the Baluarte and Gayarre in Pamplona, the Principal in Vitoria, the Amaia in Irún, the Concha Espina in Torrelavega, and the Auditorio in Zaragoza, among others.
Laura has participated in numerous vocal competitions such as the Julián Gayarre, the Montserrat Caballé, and the recent International Luis Mariano Competition, where she was awarded the prize for promising young talent.
Currently, she balances her teaching career with her concert activities, teaching at the Muzzik School of Music and Theater in Bilbao. She is also a member of the Baalbeck Duo, alongside pianist Marie Obeid, with whom she has performed concerts as part of the Unusual Music Week at the Jesús de Monasterio Conservatory in Santander, during celebrations commemorating the 500th anniversary of the Papal Bull granted to the Monastery of Santo Toribio de Liébana, and in the MusiCastro Classic series, dedicated to women in music and Cantabrian composer Arturo Dúo Vital.
She recently attended the Mozarteum Sommer Akademie in Salzburg, where she was selected by Helen Donath for masterclasses, and performed at the Wiener Saal and Liedertafel halls in the Austrian city.
Additionally, Laura collaborates as a soloist with the Baroque Music Academy of Cantabria ensemble, with whom she will offer several concerts in the near future.
